Inspired by artists including Andy Warhol, William De Kooning and René Magritte, Bronkhorst combines pop culture references with abstract expression and surrealism, while documenting his creative process through his social media channels. Bronkhorst’s vibrant and distinctive style has steadily garnered a legion of fans and collectors from around the world.

This year, the artist will continue to expand upon his global footprint with international exhibitions in Los Angeles and Berlin, following the resounding success of the artist’s showcase in Dubai earlier this year, which saw over 10,000 visitors in three days and his original works selling out in just twelve minutes.
\n <figure\n class=\"release-content-image release-content-image--contained release-content-image--align-center\"\n data-component=\"image-zoom-popup\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-selector=\".release-content-image__image\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-i18n=\"data:application/json;base64,eyJEb3dubG9hZCI6IkRvd25sb2FkIn0=\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-views-event=\"Story Image View\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-download-event=\"Story Image Download\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-placement=\"content\"\n >\n
\n <img\n src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/3f7bd297-acdf-4d05-b876-408c30f637c1/-/resize/1200x/-/format/auto/\"\n class=\"release-content-image__image image-thumbnail-rollover__image\"\n data-description=\"\"\n id=\"image-3f7bd297-acdf-4d05-b876-408c30f637c1\"\n data-id=\"3f7bd297-acdf-4d05-b876-408c30f637c1\"\n data-original=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/3f7bd297-acdf-4d05-b876-408c30f637c1/-/inline/no/WB-BIGBALLS-11.04-NUTTYROAD-BTS-20.jpg\"\n data-mfp-src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/3f7bd297-acdf-4d05-b876-408c30f637c1/-/resize/1200x/-/format/auto/\"\n alt=\"Story image\"\n />\n
\n \n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-expand\"></use>\n
\n
\n\n

\n
\n
Big Balls showcases a special collection of never-before-seen paintings celebrating the unrivaled spirit, energy and excitement of football, as the city comes to life for the World Cup.

"Los Angeles brings culture, creativity, and an incredible amount of hype and energy," says Werner. "It's a city that embraces both art and sport at the highest level, making it the perfect place for a collection like Big Balls."

Bronkhorst will reveal this all-new body of work in a physical showcase, ahead of select artworks being available for public sale directly via his website.

Imagery available on request.

###

NOTES TO EDITORS

Press Preview

Monday, July 8

9:00 - 11:00 am

by RSVP only

Public Opening

July 9 - 12

Thursday to Saturday 10 am - 8 pm, Sunday 10 am - 6 pm

Address: 8175 Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles

Visit www.wernerbronkhorst.com and follow @werner_bronkhorst for all updates.

Media Contact

wb@camronglobal.com

About Werner Bronkhorst

Werner Bronkhorst is a South African-born, Sydney based visual artist known for his two distinct styles: hyper realistic miniature figures set against abstract sculptural backdrops and bold charcoal car drawings overlaid with dense text. Raised in Pretoria, Bronkhorst is deeply influenced by abstract expressionism, surrealism, and pop culture, drawing inspiration from artists such as Warhol, De Kooning, Haring, and Magritte.

Through social media, Bronkhorst offers audiences a raw, behind-the-scenes look at his creative process. By late 2024, Bronkhorst’s audience had grown to over 1 million followers and has now sky-rocketed to 2.7 million, drawn to his authentic storytelling and distinctive aesthetic. Bronkhorst was recently recognised as a member of Forbes Asia's 30 under 30 for 2026.

",
