Born in South Africa and now residing in Sydney, Bronkhorst is globally recognised for his sculptural paintings, which have garnered a legion of worldwide fans. \u200b

Werner Bronkhorst said: “I had the honour of being asked to create the cover artwork for Martin Garrix & Ed Sheeran’s latest single, Repeat It. As a lover of music, it was a joy to create art for artists I admire and I’m proud to be part of this incredible song’s journey to release. While there were definitely moments of begging paint to dry faster as I waited for the piece to be ready to add a miniature Martin and Ed into the composition, I am delighted that it came together just in time for the release and to personally fly the artwork over to Santiago, Chile for the global release”.

This new reveal precedes two major international exhibitions of Bronkhorst’s work, taking place this year. This July in Los Angeles, Bronkhorst will debut “Big Balls”, a special collection of new works inspired by the FIFA World Cup, followed by a further immersive exhibition in Berlin, marking the artist’s first showcase in Germany.
\n <figure\n class=\"release-content-image release-content-image--contained release-content-image--align-center\"\n data-component=\"image-zoom-popup\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-selector=\".release-content-image__image\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-i18n=\"data:application/json;base64,eyJEb3dubG9hZCI6IkRvd25sb2FkIn0=\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-views-event=\"Story Image View\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-tracking-download-event=\"Story Image Download\"\n data-image-zoom-popup-placement=\"content\"\n >\n
\n <img\n src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/0d2d74ac-891c-4a4b-b409-2ba621355cac/-/format/auto/\"\n class=\"release-content-image__image image-thumbnail-rollover__image\"\n data-description=\"<em>(Pictured above: Detail shot of Repeat It in process, courtesy of the artist) </em>\"\n id=\"image-0d2d74ac-891c-4a4b-b409-2ba621355cac\"\n data-id=\"0d2d74ac-891c-4a4b-b409-2ba621355cac\"\n data-original=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/0d2d74ac-891c-4a4b-b409-2ba621355cac/-/inline/no/image.png\"\n data-mfp-src=\"https://cdn.uc.assets.prezly.com/0d2d74ac-891c-4a4b-b409-2ba621355cac/-/format/auto/\"\n alt=\"(Pictured above: Detail shot of Repeat It in process, courtesy of the artist) \"\n />\n
\n \n <use xlink:href=\"#icon-expand\"></use>\n
\n
\n\n
(Pictured above: Detail shot of Repeat It in process, courtesy of the artist)
\n
\n
*ENDS*

For all PR enquires, please contact Camron:

wb@camronglobal.com

About Werner Bronkhorst

Werner Bronkhorst is a South African-born, Sydney based visual artist known for his two distinct styles: hyper realistic miniature figures set against abstract sculptural backdrops and bold charcoal car drawings overlaid with dense text.
